Relocating to Gering, NE -pros and cons?

Been meaning to ask this. I work in real estate and Crime rate is something to consider -Gering sits at 109.9 per 100K. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. What would you do? It's not perfect, but the community is solid.
