Longtime lurker here, My family moved here when I was a kid. With a population of 20,940, Germantown is a small town. Average temperature is around 46--F, so expect cold winters. It's a a small town city with about 20,940 people. Household incomes average around $104,337 in Germantown. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The weather takes some getting used to. Any advice would be great. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Property taxes are high but you get good services.
