Remote worker thinking about Gibsonton

Been meaning to ask this. My family moved here when I was a kid. The median home value here is around $274,300, which seems about average. Crime rate is something to consider -Gibsonton sits at 582.4 per 100K. The food scene here is surprisingly good. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The suburbs are where most families end up. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Property taxes are high but you get good services.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is public transit. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is outdoor recreation. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..
