Freelancing from Gilbert — experience?

First post here. I'm a college student here and The median home value here is around $518,600, which is pretty steep. The city has invested a lot in new development. Thanks in advance! Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a software engineer who relocated here from San Diego about 14 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and cost of living.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good healthcare facilities
- Close to major attractions
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Nightlife is limited
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are affordable, gas is challenging.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a marketing manager who relocated here from Atlanta about 7 years ago. The main reasons were work and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Great outdoor activities nearby
- Lots of new development happening
- Strong sense of community

Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Can feel isolated

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are reasonable, gas is pretty good.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Public transit is tough here. You'll probably need a car for most things. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.
