Working in Gilbert — salaries realistic?

So, We're a young couple and Median household income is $121,351, which feels pretty solid for the area. With a population of 271K, Gilbert is a mid-size city. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Am I overthinking this?

The food scene here is tough. Tons of great BBQ places. I love the pace of life here.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are improving, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
