Anyone else feel this way? We have two kids and Average temperature is around 50--F, so expect cold winters. The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a electrician who relocated here from Portland about 6 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and weather.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Affordable housing options
- Strong sense of community
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Limited high-paying job options
Financially, we've found it underrated compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are pricey, gas is better than expected.
Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

My experience has been mostly positive. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The only thing I'd watch out for is dating scene. Other than that, No regrets on my end..

I've been living here for 12 years and I'd say it's been a really good experience overall. The job market is hit or miss compared to other places I've lived. Overall Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
