Came here for retirement and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The dating scene is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

I've lived in Old Town for about 5 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from LA, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good internet infrastructure
- The food scene scene is pretty good

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Chain restaurants dominate

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for remote workers. Happy to answer more specific questions..
