Anyone else feel this way? I'm retired and The unemployment rate is 4.1%, which is about average. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Worth the trade-offs? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus.

Came here for weather and stayed because it's exactly what I was looking for. The cost of living is honestly average and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Bought a house here in 2016 and the quality of life is solid. Property values have gone about the same since then.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.
