Job market in Gilroy for tech?

Been meaning to ask this. Homes are going for about $975,800 on average. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Does this match your experience? The city has invested a lot in new development.

I've been living here for 5 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The housing market is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Would recommend to anyone considering it..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from New York and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Midtown. It's hit or miss for what you get.

Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in marketing. If you're in tech you might struggle.

People: Generally underrated. It took about 3 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: challenging. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Hot take but it exceeded my expectations. I know a lot of people disagree but after 3 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I've lived in Riverside for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I genuinely enjoy living here. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Affordable housing options
- The cultural scene scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Property taxes are high
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for couples. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Came here for a job opportunity and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The weather is honestly solid and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Alright, I'll give you the full rundown since I see a lot of surface-level answers here.

I've been in South for 5 years. Moved from Seattle for a fresh start. Here's my honest, detailed take:

**Housing:**
The market right now is challenging. We bought in 2016 at k and it's now worth down slightly than that. If you're renting, expect /mo for a decent 4-bed in a safe area. Lots of new construction which should help.

**Employment:**
marketing is strong here. consulting is hit or miss. If you're remote, you'll love the cost of living. Average salaries are growing for the area.

**Quality of Life:**
it's been a really good experience overall. The outdoor scene is improving - we have desert landscapes within easy driving distance. Dining has gotten so much better in the past few years.

**Schools (if relevant):**
Varies hugely by district. South schools are better than expected. If you have kids, this should be your number one factor in choosing a neighborhood.

**The Bad:**
I'd be lying if I said everything is great. Not a lot of cultural diversity. Can feel isolated. And weather can be frustrating.

**Bottom line:**
For families, I'd say this is a 7/10. No regrets on my end.. Feel free to ask specific questions - happy to help.

We moved here with our family and it's exactly what I was looking for. Schools in Springfield area are better than expected. Kids love it here.
