What's it really like living in Gladstone?

OK so I'm a college student here and Household incomes average around $72,134 in Gladstone. Crime rate is something to consider -Gladstone sits at 323.0 per 100K. Rent is about $1,095/month for a decent place. The food scene here is surprisingly good. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Is this normal for Gladstone? Appreciate any input. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. food scene used to be much competitive but now it's excellent.
