Hey everyone, Born and raised here. Poverty rate is 7.1%, which is pretty low. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Would love some local perspective. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. The weather takes some getting used to. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want dating scene, then yeah this place is great. But if food scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Used to live on the Downtown side, now on the Highland side. Completely different vibe. I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.
If you value school system, you'll love it. The pet-friendliness is genuinely decent and I've found the quality of life is solid. My neighborhood (Old Town) is stable and I feel safe walking around at night.
But if you're coming from Tampa, be prepared for the culture shock. housing market is completely different here. And Urban sprawl is real.
My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.
