Is Glastonbury Center still affordable?

Longtime lurker here, I work in consulting and It's a a small town city with about 7,860 people.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 4 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 3-bed in Downtown. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is established right now, especially in finance. If you're in hospitality you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 13 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Vietnamese.

Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Hot take but I love the pace of life here. I know a lot of people disagree but after 15 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want walkability, then yeah this place is great. But if housing market matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

Public transit is average here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it exceeded my expectations.

Moved here from San Francisco about 1 years ago. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Still getting used to healthcare but Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
