Glen Dale quality of life -am I missing something?

Hey everyone, It's a a small town city with about 1,517 people. Rent is about $907/month for a decent place. Crime rate is something to consider -Glen Dale sits at 72.7 per 100K. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. The suburbs are where most families end up. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Pros:
- Nice parks and trails
- Low crime in most areas
- Good airport connections

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Rising rent prices
- Poor road conditions
- Mosquitoes and humidity
What would you do? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.
