Most overrated things about Glendale

First post here. Military spouse here. Household incomes average around $70,139 in Glendale. Average temperature is around 74°F, so it's warm year-round. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Thoughts? Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I'm a social worker and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. The community is underrated and there's always something going on.

I've lived in Uptown for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by healthcare. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The cultural scene scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Limited public transit options
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for remote workers. Feel free to reach out with questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is challenging in most areas.

The food scene here is average. Tons of great craft beer places. I have mixed feelings honestly.

Bought a house here in 2019 and I have mixed feelings honestly. Property values have gone up significantly since then.

Used to live on the Maple Ridge side, now on the Lakewood side. Completely different vibe. it was the best decision I ever made.
