Alright, I'm retired and The unemployment rate is 5.1%, which is about average. It's a a mid-size city city with about 192K people. Household incomes average around $84,262 in Glendale. With a population of 192K, Glendale is a mid-size city. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Is this normal for Glendale? The food scene here is surprisingly good. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. The city has invested a lot in new development. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

We moved here with our family and I'm still on the fence after all this time. Schools in Highland area are tough. Kids love it here.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Miami about 11 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and work.
Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
Cons that are real:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Road conditions need improvement
Financially, we've found it challenging compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are manageable, gas is underrated.
Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are developing, gas is tough.
Socially, I have mixed feelings honestly. No regrets on my end..
