Why I chose Glendale over bigger cities
It's a a mid-size city city with about 192K people. With a population of 192K, Glendale is a mid-size city. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Does this match your experience? It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable.
