Anyone work in healthcare in Glendora?

I grew up here but left for a while. It's a a small town city with about 5,367 people. Rent is about $782/month for a decent place. The unemployment rate is 8.8%, which is concerning. Crime rate is something to consider -Glendora sits at 248.8 per 100K. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The suburbs are where most families end up. What neighborhoods would you suggest? The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. The suburbs are where most families end up. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The city has invested a lot in new development. OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a nurse, 36, moved here 7 years ago from San Diego. I've lived in East and The Heights, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Great outdoor activities nearby
2. Good healthcare facilities
3. Close to major attractions
4. The people are generally hit or miss - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Summers can be brutally hot
2. Dating scene is rough
3. The school system situation is established and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- East: Great for remote workers. decent vibes, walkable.
- The Heights: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from San Diego, everything felt underrated. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is affordable. You can live comfortably on $90K-$150K here.

**Final verdict:**
Happy to answer more specific questions.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
