Raising a family in Glenmont -thoughts?

Hi all, I'm retired and The median home value here is around $542,300, which is pretty steep. You can expect to pay around $1,959 for rent here. Poverty rate is 8.4%, which is pretty low. The unemployment rate is 4.5%, which is about average. The food scene here is surprisingly good. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Cheers. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. The city has invested a lot in new development.

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is job market. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.
