Is Glenmoor good for remote workers?

Hello, The unemployment rate is 4.3%, which is about average. Median household income is $70,208, which feels about average for the area. The median home value here is around $133,900, which is actually reasonable. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. The suburbs are where most families end up.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Highland. It's challenging for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in consulting. If you're in education you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like sushi.

Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a contractor who relocated here from Baltimore about 2 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and work.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Four distinct seasons
- Affordable housing options

Cons that are real:
- Road conditions need improvement
- Dating scene is rough

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are stable, gas is better than expected.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

I've been living here for 2 years and I'd say there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The pet-friendliness is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Definitely worth checking out..
