Been meaning to ask this. Been living here since 2023. The unemployment rate is 5.0%, which is about average. Household incomes average around $79,739 in Glenn Heights. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Thoughts? Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Depends on what you're looking for honestly. If you want healthcare, then yeah this place is great. But if cultural scene matters to you, might want to look elsewhere.

As someone who grew up here, I genuinely enjoy living here. A lot has changed in the past few years though. community vibe used to be much pricey but now it's underrated.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from Boston and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in North. It's solid for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in tech. If you're in engineering you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 8 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: hit or miss. Tons of options if you like farm-to-table.
No regrets on my end..

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Lakewood area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.
