Hey, I grew up here but left for a while. Rent is about $1,267/month for a decent place. Median household income is $76,726, which feels about average for the area. The city has invested a lot in new development. The weather takes some getting used to. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a pharmacist who relocated here from Houston about 8 years ago. The main reasons were quality of life and quality of life.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Four distinct seasons

Cons that are real:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. Groceries are wild, gas is pretty good.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Give it a chance - it might surprise you..
