Glenview is underrated, change my mind

Not sure if this has been asked before, but Been living here since 2010. The unemployment rate is 2.1%, which is pretty low. The median home value here is around $598,800, which is pretty steep. Homes are going for about $598,800 on average. It's a a smaller city city with about 47,682 people. Rent is about $2,027/month for a decent place. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The weather takes some getting used to.

Pros:
- Growing food scene
- Good healthcare facilities
- Walkable downtown

Cons:
- Limited public transit
- Rising rent prices
- Few job opportunities in some fields
- Mosquitoes and humidity

Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. I'm a data analyst and I've found there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. The community is challenging and there's always something going on.

Public transit is pretty good here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it's improved dramatically in recent years.

My experience has been mostly positive. it was the best decision I ever made. The only thing I'd watch out for is healthcare. Other than that, Would recommend to anyone considering it..
