Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Atlanta about 1 years ago. The main reasons were work and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Bugs and humidity in summer

Financially, we've found it surprisingly good compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are competitive, gas is pretty good.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. No regrets on my end..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Chicago it's surprisingly good.

I've lived in Sunset for about 12 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by school system. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Strong job market in several industries
- The housing market scene is average

The downsides:
- Not very walkable outside downtown
- Homeless population growing downtown

Overall I'd rate it 8/10 for remote workers. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Bought a house here in 2015 and I genuinely enjoy living here. Property values have gone up a bit since then.

Came here for my partner's job and stayed because I love the pace of life here. The public transit is honestly decent and I don't see that changing anytime soon.
