Best industries in Glenville right now

OK so Been living here since 2011. The median home value here is around $1,091,700, which is pretty steep. With a population of 2,663, Glenville is a small town. Household incomes average around $211,786 in Glenville. Average temperature is around 52--F, so expect cold winters. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Let me know your thoughts. Any help is appreciated. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. I work in engineering here and it was the best decision I ever made. The job market for my field is improving. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.

Background: I'm a writer, 41, moved here 12 years ago from Pittsburgh. I've lived in Fairview and The Heights, and traveled to most parts of the metro.

**What I love:**
1. Low crime in most neighborhoods
2. Nice parks and green spaces
3. Affordable housing options
4. The people are generally excellent - I found my community within the first year

**What I don't love:**
1. Nightlife is limited
2. Road conditions need improvement
3. The walkability situation is competitive and doesn't seem to be improving

**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Fairview: Great for retirees. improving vibes, walkable.
- The Heights: More affordable, family-friendly.

**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.

**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Pittsburgh, everything felt average. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are reasonable. Gas is manageable. You can live comfortably on $40K-$130K here.

**Final verdict:**
No regrets on my end.. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.
