I've been here for 12 years and Poverty rate is 5.6%, which is pretty low. With a population of 11,159, Gloucester Point is a small town. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. What neighborhoods would you suggest? Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a accountant who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 4 years ago. The main reasons were a fresh start and a job opportunity.
Pros I've experienced:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- Good airport with direct flights
Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Not a lot of cultural diversity
Financially, we've found it improving compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are wild, gas is underrated.
Socially, I genuinely enjoy living here. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is traffic. it was the best decision I ever made. Worth doing your research before committing.

The food scene here is excellent. Tons of great Indian places. it's not perfect but it works for me.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. healthcare used to be much pricey but now it's average.
