Hey folks, I'm single, late 50s, and Crime rate is something to consider -Gold Canyon sits at 244.1 per 100K. Rent is about $1,213/month for a decent place. Homes are going for about $469,600 on average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Let me know your thoughts. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The weather takes some getting used to.
