Anyone else feel this way? Born and raised here. With a population of 28,767, Golden Gate is a smaller city. The unemployment rate is 2.6%, which is pretty low. Crime rate is something to consider -Golden Gate sits at 77.0 per 100K. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Am I wrong here? Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The city has invested a lot in new development. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years.
