Hey, My family moved here when I was a kid. Poverty rate is 9.0%, which is pretty low. Homes are going for about $365,400 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 3 years ago from Charlotte and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Older homes are where the value is. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in Old Town. It's decent for what you get.
Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in education. If you're in healthcare you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 15 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: surprisingly good. Tons of options if you like Korean.
No regrets on my end..

I've been living here for 15 years and I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The outdoor recreation is solid compared to other places I've lived. Overall Good luck with whatever you decide..
