How is Goldsboro for outdoor activities?

Hey folks, Household incomes average around $47,005 in Goldsboro. Homes are going for about $173,700 on average. You can expect to pay around $956 for rent here. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I overthinking this? Looking forward to hearing from you all. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem average.

I've been here 14 years and I'm still on the fence after all this time. The thing nobody mentions is pet-friendliness. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the walkability is legit. And if you're into kayaking, this place is tough.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Cedar Grove side vs the Maple Ridge side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

No regrets on my end..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it's not perfect but it works for me. Internet is excellent in most areas.

Public transit is challenging here. You'll probably need a car for most things. the quality of life is solid.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. it's improved dramatically in recent years. Compared to Salt Lake City it's underrated.
