Worst things about Goldsboro nobody talks about

Not sure if this has been asked before, but We're a young couple and Crime rate is something to consider -Goldsboro sits at 783.3 per 100K. With a population of 33,448, Goldsboro is a smaller city. The median home value here is around $173,700, which is actually reasonable. Median household income is $47,005, which feels on the lower side for the area. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The suburbs are where most families end up. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. The food scene here is surprisingly good. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look.

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, it's improved dramatically in recent years. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

I'd say the biggest thing people don't talk about is cost of living. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Worth doing your research before committing.
