Things that make Gonzales unique

Curious what people think. I work in food service and The unemployment rate is 2.9%, which is pretty low. With a population of 8,526, Gonzales is a small town. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Thoughts? Looking forward to hearing from you all.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are decent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 3-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to Miami it's surprisingly good.

Used to live on the Sunset side, now on the Springfield side. Completely different vibe. I'm still on the fence after all this time.

Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem improving.

I've been here 1 years and it was the best decision I ever made. The thing nobody mentions is housing market. It's stable and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the community vibe is legit. And if you're into photography, this place is pretty good.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The Old Town side vs the Midtown side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Feel free to reach out with questions..
