Job market in Gonzalez for tech?

With a population of 13,861, Gonzalez is a small town. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. What are your go-to spots? Property taxes are high but you get good services. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

I've lived in Uptown for about 6 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I love the pace of life here. When I first moved here from Raleigh, I was surprised by traffic. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Good schools in most areas
- The cultural scene scene is hit or miss

The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Nightlife is limited

Overall I'd rate it 9/10 for families. It's not for everyone but it works for us..

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 4-bedroom. I have mixed feelings honestly. Compared to Austin it's solid.
