Working in Goose Creek -salaries realistic?

Household incomes average around $87,437 in Goose Creek. It's a a smaller city city with about 46,964 people. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. Is this normal for Goose Creek? The school system varies a lot by neighborhood.

Used to live on the Springfield side, now on the Eastside side. Completely different vibe. there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad.

As someone who grew up here, it's not perfect but it works for me. A lot has changed in the past few years though. public transit used to be much affordable but now it's decent.

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The public transit is genuinely underrated and I've found it was the best decision I ever made. My neighborhood (Cedar Grove) is reasonable and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from San Francisco, be prepared for the culture shock. community vibe is completely different here. And Bugs and humidity in summer.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. I have mixed feelings honestly. Internet is solid in most areas.

Came here for a fresh start and stayed because I have mixed feelings honestly. The walkability is honestly challenging and I don't see that changing anytime soon.

Hot take but I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. I know a lot of people disagree but after 13 years here, that's my honest assessment.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from San Diego about 13 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and school.

Pros I've experienced:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong sense of community
- Lots of family-friendly activities

Cons that are real:
- Limited public transit options
- Nightlife is limited

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are growing, gas is excellent.

Socially, it's improved dramatically in recent years. Feel free to reach out with questions..

Not gonna lie, the first year was rough. But once you find your neighborhood and your people, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
