Anyone regret moving to Grafton?

Hey folks, Should I be concerned? Public transit needs a lot of work honestly.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a lawyer who relocated here from Salt Lake City about 1 years ago. The main reasons were family and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Affordable housing options
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Limited high-paying job options

Financially, we've found it average compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is challenging.

Socially, I'm still on the fence after all this time. Definitely worth checking out..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Baltimore about 9 years ago. The main reasons were a job opportunity and a fresh start.

Pros I've experienced:
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- Good healthcare facilities
- Close to major attractions

Cons that are real:
- Dating scene is rough
- Homeless population growing downtown

Financially, we've found it tough compared to where we came from. Buying is tough right now, renting is more reasonable. Groceries are affordable, gas is solid.

Socially, it exceeded my expectations. Definitely worth checking out..

Hot take but it's improved dramatically in recent years. I know a lot of people disagree but after 9 years here, that's my honest assessment.

I'm a contractor and I've found I have mixed feelings honestly. The community is pretty good and there's always something going on.
