Alright, Homes are going for about $200,600 on average. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. Looking forward to hearing from you all. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a sales manager who relocated here from Minneapolis about 9 years ago. The main reasons were cost of living and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Four distinct seasons
- Diverse dining options
Cons that are real:
- Property taxes are high
- Limited entertainment options
Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are affordable, gas is tough.
Socially, there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. Feel free to reach out with questions..

If you're remote, this place is great for cost of living. it was the best decision I ever made. Internet is excellent in most areas.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say I have mixed feelings honestly. The outdoor recreation is tough compared to other places I've lived. Overall No regrets on my end..

I've lived in Uptown for about 1 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
I have mixed feelings honestly. When I first moved here from San Diego, I was surprised by public transit. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Cost of living is very reasonable
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- The job market scene is improving
The downsides:
- Winters are long and cold
- Nightlife is limited
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for retirees. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

OK I'm going to write a proper review because I've seen too many incomplete answers.
Background: I'm a teacher, 27, moved here 8 years ago from Nashville. I've lived in Old Town and The Heights, and traveled to most parts of the metro.
**What I love:**
1. Nice parks and green spaces
2. Lots of new development happening
3. Good internet infrastructure
4. The people are generally solid - I found my community within the first year
**What I don't love:**
1. Limited public transit options
2. Bugs and humidity in summer
3. The cultural scene situation is manageable and doesn't seem to be improving
**Neighborhoods I'd recommend:**
- Old Town: Great for young professionals. hit or miss vibes, walkable.
- The Heights: More affordable, family-friendly.
**Neighborhoods I'd avoid:**
- Without naming names, stay away from areas east of downtown until you know the city better.
**Cost comparison:**
Coming from Nashville, everything felt challenging. Rent is about /mo. Groceries are competitive. Gas is developing. You can live comfortably on $60K-$140K here.
**Final verdict:**
Hope this helps!. It's not perfect - nowhere is - but for the price point and quality of life, it's hard to beat. DM me if you have specific questions.

Public transit is improving here. You'll probably need a car for most things. it was the best decision I ever made.

My experience has been mostly positive. it exceeded my expectations. The only thing I'd watch out for is public transit. Other than that, Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
