Graham quality of life -am I missing something?

Just moved here 10 months ago and With a population of 35,090, Graham is a smaller city. Crime rate is something to consider -Graham sits at 112.8 per 100K. The unemployment rate is 3.9%, which is pretty low. It's a a smaller city city with about 35,090 people. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

Pros:
- Lots of new development
- Good healthcare facilities
- Good internet infrastructure

Cons:
- Sprawl everywhere
- Limited dining options
- Few job opportunities in some fields
Has anyone dealt with this? Any help is appreciated. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. Property taxes are high but you get good services. The weather takes some getting used to. The school system varies a lot by neighborhood. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a teacher who relocated here from LA about 9 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and weather.

Pros I've experienced:
- Decent public transit for the size
- Strong job market in several industries
- Lots of new development happening

Cons that are real:
- Urban sprawl is real
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it excellent compared to where we came from. If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. Groceries are competitive, gas is decent.

Socially, the quality of life is solid. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

I'm a sales manager and I've found it exceeded my expectations. The community is tough and there's always something going on.
