I've lived in Eastside for about 13 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
there are trade-offs but the good outweighs the bad. When I first moved here from Austin, I was surprised by food scene. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Good schools in most areas
- Strong job market in several industries
- The cost of living scene is underrated
The downsides:
- Summers can be brutally hot
- Can feel isolated
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for couples. Good luck with whatever you decide..

I'm a project manager and I've found it's not perfect but it works for me. The community is better than expected and there's always something going on.

We moved here with our family and it was the best decision I ever made. Schools in Greenfield area are surprisingly good. Kids love it here.
