Unpopular opinion about Grand Haven

Hey folks, I've been here for 1 years and Median household income is $60,665, which feels about average for the area. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. The suburbs are where most families end up. Night life is decent if you know the right spots. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Night life is decent if you know the right spots.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are excellent, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 9 years ago from Houston and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: It's gotten pricier but still beats the coasts. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Westside. It's solid for what you get.

Jobs: The market is pricey right now, especially in finance. If you're in finance you might struggle.

People: Generally improving. It took about 16 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like Thai.

Definitely worth checking out..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 7 years ago from Denver and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 4-bed in Westside. It's surprisingly good for what you get.

Jobs: The market is competitive right now, especially in real estate. If you're in legal you might struggle.

People: Generally decent. It took about 9 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: excellent. Tons of options if you like Southern.

Hope this helps!.
