Unpopular opinion about Grand Island
Not sure if this has been asked before, but Poverty rate is 10.1%, which is around average. Should I be concerned?

I've lived in The Heights for about 3 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it's improved dramatically in recent years. When I first moved here from Minneapolis, I was surprised by safety. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Low crime in most neighborhoods
- The housing market scene is tough
The downsides:
- Limited high-paying job options
- Limited shopping options
Overall I'd rate it 7/10 for retirees. Happy to answer more specific questions..
