Alright, I'm a remote worker and Crime rate is something to consider -Grand Island sits at 455.4 per 100K. Median household income is $62,439, which feels about average for the area. Poverty rate is 10.1%, which is around average. Rent is about $913/month for a decent place. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I overthinking this? Gonna give a different perspective here since most replies seem challenging.

I've been here 13 years and it exceeded my expectations. The thing nobody mentions is traffic. It's competitive and it affects daily life more than you'd think.

That said, the food scene is legit. And if you're into surfing, this place is average.

Neighborhood matters A LOT here. The East side vs the Greenfield side are basically different cities. Make sure you visit both before deciding.

Definitely worth checking out..
