Random thought, I'm retired and Homes are going for about $225,500 on average. It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. What do you all think? It's changing fast — some good, some not so much. It's a very car-dependent city, for better or worse. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. The city has invested a lot in new development.

I'm a software engineer and I've found I love the pace of life here. The community is tough and there's always something going on.

I've been living here for 9 years and I'd say I wouldn't want to live anywhere else right now. The public transit is better than expected compared to other places I've lived. Overall Happy to answer more specific questions..

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a software engineer who relocated here from Denver about 11 years ago. The main reasons were my partner's job and school.
Pros I've experienced:
- Lots of new development happening
- Active local events and festivals
- Four distinct seasons
Cons that are real:
- Limited shopping options
- Dating scene is rough
Financially, we've found it hit or miss compared to where we came from. The market is competitive but not impossible. Groceries are established, gas is excellent.
Socially, it's exactly what I was looking for. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..
