How are the schools in Grand Rapids?

First post here. Been living here since 2009. It's a a small town city with about 11,186 people. Homes are going for about $200,600 on average. Honestly, I think it's a great place if you know where to look. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. Thanks for reading. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. The weather takes some getting used to. The weather takes some getting used to. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. There's a real sense of community in certain neighborhoods. I'd say it's better for families than young singles. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. The suburbs are where most families end up. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's not perfect, but the community is solid. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. It's not perfect, but the community is solid.

As someone who grew up here, I'm still on the fence after all this time. A lot has changed in the past few years though. cultural scene used to be much pricey but now it's hit or miss.
