Biggest downsides of living in Grand Terrace?

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.
I'm a physical therapist who relocated here from Phoenix about 1 years ago. The main reasons were work and quality of life.
Pros I've experienced:
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- Good schools in most areas
- Affordable housing options
Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Bugs and humidity in summer
Financially, we've found it better than expected compared to where we came from. Lots of new construction which should help. Groceries are pricey, gas is solid.
Socially, it was the best decision I ever made. It's not for everyone but it works for us..
