Random thought, We're a young couple and Poverty rate is 4.0%, which is pretty low. People here are genuinely friendly, not just surface-level. Property taxes are high but you get good services. What would you do?

I've lived in The Heights for about 4 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.
it was the best decision I ever made. When I first moved here from Tampa, I was surprised by walkability. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.
A few things worth knowing:
- Friendly community, easy to meet people
- Growing food and restaurant scene
- The public transit scene is tough
The downsides:
- Rising rent and home prices
- Urban sprawl is real
Overall I'd rate it 6/10 for remote workers. Hope this helps!.

Renting here right now, paying about /mo for a 1-bedroom. I genuinely enjoy living here. Compared to San Diego it's improving.
