Just moved to Grants Pass, any tips?

I'm a college student here and It's not perfect, but the community is solid. I'd say it's better for families than young singles.

As someone who grew up here, I have mixed feelings honestly. A lot has changed in the past few years though. housing market used to be much wild but now it's excellent.

Great question. I'll try to be comprehensive here.

I'm a accountant who relocated here from Baltimore about 14 years ago. The main reasons were school and retirement.

Pros I've experienced:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Good internet infrastructure
- Diverse dining options

Cons that are real:
- Chain restaurants dominate
- Road conditions need improvement

Financially, we've found it pretty good compared to where we came from. Older homes are where the value is. Groceries are affordable, gas is average.

Socially, I love the pace of life here. Happy to answer more specific questions..

Weather-wise, the summers are pretty good and winters are manageable. You get used to it after the first year.
