Moving from Memphis to Grantsville next month

Alright, Homes are going for about $432,200 on average. Rent is about $1,062/month for a decent place. Downtown has improved a lot in recent years. Any advice would be great. Public transit needs a lot of work honestly. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I work in education here and I love the pace of life here. The job market for my field is excellent. Your mileage may vary depending on what you're looking for..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value school system, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely hit or miss and I've found it's improved dramatically in recent years. My neighborhood (West) is growing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Atlanta, be prepared for the culture shock. safety is completely different here. And Summers can be brutally hot.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

Bought a house here in 2016 and I love the pace of life here. Property values have gone about the same since then.
