Freelancing from Grapevine -experience?

The unemployment rate is 3.1%, which is pretty low. There's a growing tech scene which is exciting. Has anyone dealt with this? Cheers. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. It's changing fast -some good, some not so much. The suburbs are where most families end up.

I've been living here for 4 years and I'd say the quality of life is solid. The walkability is improving compared to other places I've lived. Overall Give it a chance - it might surprise you..

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 14 years ago from LA and here's my honest breakdown:

Housing: If you look outside the main areas you can find deals. We're paying /mo for a 2-bed in North. It's tough for what you get.

Jobs: The market is affordable right now, especially in hospitality. If you're in manufacturing you might struggle.

People: Generally solid. It took about 5 months to build a solid friend group.

Food: decent. Tons of options if you like craft beer.

It's not for everyone but it works for us..
