Job market in Great Neck Plaza for tech?

Hey, I've been here for 14 years and With a population of 7,503, Great Neck Plaza is a small town. The parks and outdoor areas are a huge plus. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that. Am I wrong here? Looking forward to hearing from you all. Traffic can be rough during rush hour, no sugarcoating that.

I've lived in North for about 8 years now, so I can give you a pretty detailed perspective.

I'm still on the fence after all this time. When I first moved here from Miami, I was surprised by outdoor recreation. It took some adjustment but now I wouldn't trade it.

A few things worth knowing:
- Nice parks and green spaces
- Four distinct seasons
- The cost of living scene is better than expected

The downsides:
- Nightlife is limited
- Dating scene is rough

Overall I'd rate it 5/10 for young professionals. Would recommend to anyone considering it..

Real talk - this place is not for everyone, and I think that's OK.

If you value community vibe, you'll love it. The cost of living is genuinely better than expected and I've found I'm still on the fence after all this time. My neighborhood (East) is developing and I feel safe walking around at night.

But if you're coming from Denver, be prepared for the culture shock. nightlife is completely different here. And Nightlife is limited.

My advice would be to visit for at least a week before committing. Rent first, don't buy. And explore multiple neighborhoods - they're all different.

If you value healthcare, you'll love it. The nightlife is genuinely challenging and I've found it exceeded my expectations. My neighborhood (West) is manageable and I feel safe walking around at night.

From a safety perspective, it really depends on the area. Some neighborhoods are hit or miss, others not so much. Do your research on specific streets.

Used to live on the Midtown side, now on the Highland side. Completely different vibe. it exceeded my expectations.
