Hey everyone, I grew up here but left for a while. It's a a mid-size city city with about 109K people. The unemployment rate is 3.8%, which is pretty low. Cost of living is definitely rising, but still manageable. Any advice would be great. Any help is appreciated.

OK so I've been meaning to write this for a while. I moved here 6 years ago from Salt Lake City and here's my honest breakdown:
Housing: Lots of new construction which should help. We're paying /mo for a 1-bed in Riverside. It's hit or miss for what you get.
Jobs: The market is developing right now, especially in manufacturing. If you're in construction you might struggle.
People: Generally tough. It took about 10 months to build a solid friend group.
Food: pretty good. Tons of options if you like Mediterranean.
