Life in Greeley as a young professional

Moved here 11 years ago for work. Greeley has a growing scene for young professionals. The income situation is decent — median around $68,650. Rent runs about $1,333/month for a typical apartment. The social scene is pretty active with lots of meetups. Would I recommend it? Yes, with some caveats..

Check out the Midtown area. Way more affordable and still close to everything.

I've lived in Eastside for 6 years and it's decent, has its pros and cons.

Rent tip: look for places in winter. Prices drop and there's more availability.

I work in healthcare and finding a job wasn't hard. Took about 4 months.

If you can afford it, Oakwood is the best place to live. Period.

Respectfully disagree about the job market. In my experience, it really depends on your lifestyle.

Traffic is the worst part honestly. But if you live near work it's fine.

Weather is the biggest factor for us. Four seasons are nice, not too extreme either way.

Great post! One thing I'd mention is check out the local Facebook groups for neighborhood info. Makes a big difference.
